Congrats to my bro and his family who had their second child last night. They had a baby boy, Ethan, and he is almost 9 pounds and very healthy. It was a great night.
NBA Friday
1. The Warriors (-2.5) host the Hawks tonight in the Bay Area. I have documented my hate for the Hawks, and they have lost five out of their last six games. Atlanta traded Mike Bibby away for Kirk Hinrich on Wednesday, and it could take him some time to get into the flow of things on offense. The Warriors have won seven of the last ten games and are 19-12 at home this year. Let's go with the Warriors!!
2. The OKC Thunder are visiting the Orlando Magic (-7) tonight. The Magic are 5-5 in their last ten games and are only 4-4 in their last eight home games, including terrible losses to league doormats Sacramento and Detroit. The Thunder haven't lost by 7 or more points since Jan. 1 at San Antonio. The Thunder are 14-5 against the East and have a better overall record than Orlando. Go with the Thunder and the points!!
3. The Hornets (-5.5) are on the road at Minnesota. Both teams have been struggling lately, with players missing games due to injury. The Hornets have been missing C Okafur and the Wolves have been without star forward Michael Beasley. Okafur is questionable to return tonight and Beasley returned to action on Tuesday with 21 points. Minnesota has also beaten New Orleans in both match ups this year, and each by over 12 points. In addition, Hornet forward David West might miss the game due to a death in the family. Check back before game time. If they are out, then go with the Wolves and take some points!!
