NBA Thursday
The all-star break is almost here, I can't wait for the dunk contest with Blake Griffin. He's actually down to (-300) to win, it was (-500) last week. But first things first. There are only two games tonight, both featuring solid teams with real tight spreads.
1. The Dallas Mavericks (-1) travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns in the night game on TNT. The Mavs have been cruising ever since Nowitzki came back from his injury a few weeks ago. They won at home last night against the Kings by 16. The Mavs are 12-1 in their last 13 games and are 18-8 on the road this season (2nd Best). Yes, the Suns are hot as well-- winning seven of their last nine games. But the Suns are only 16-12 in Phoenix this year, and have been relying on their jump shots way too often this season. It should catch up to them tonight. Go with the Mavs!! Over/Under is 207.
2. The Spurs go to Chicago (-1.5) for a phenomenal East-West Showdown. The Bulls are 23-4 at home and have beaten Miami, Dallas and Orlando there in the last month. The Spurs have won 6 of their last 7 road games, winning most of them in blowouts. They hold the NBA's best road record at 21-7 and top overall record at 46-9. It's so hard to go against the Spurs in any game, but this could be one of them. This should be the game when the long rodeo road trip finally catches up with them. Go Bulls!! Over/Under is 190.
